Our anniversary trip was wonderful! It was relaxing and so enjoyable!We arrived on Mackinac Island Wednesday evening and checked out where we were staying. The Cottage Inn was so nice! It was built in 2000 so everything is new and clean. Every room has it's own bathroom and cable tv. The inn keepers were so kind and helpful. We really enjoyed seeing them and getting to know them better.We shopped, took the carriage tour, walked through the fort, and just relaxed. My favorite spot became the deck on the back of the public library. It had a few rocking chairs facing the water. It was peaceful in the evening.
Jamie and I decided that our two favorite things about the trip were, first, there was no schedule. We ate dinner at 7:30 or at 5:00, it didn't matter when or what. Second, no budget! Jamie had saved up his Great Lakes paychecks for awile and we still have money left over to buy a new mattress for our bed (it's now 10 years old you know).
Glad to be back with the kids again. I missed them. But, I really enjoyed spending so much alone time with my honey.
