Compliments are nice

I talked with Michael's teacher today after school. Really informally. She loves seeing Maggie and watching the two of them interact. Maggie was trying to grab Michael's water bottle away from him and so Michael was yelling at her. His teacher calmly asked Michael "What would make Maggie happy right now?". He looked at Maggie and said "Here Maggie. You can have my water bottle" as happy as can be.

We are so blessed to have her as Michael's teacher. We have a lot in common. She is full of wisdom. She said the sweetest thing to me today.

She told me that Michael was a good kid. She said that he was 85% good and 15% boy. Ha Ha Ha. She said that her son had a hard time when he was little and that she was always told negative things about him. People seemed to be surprised when he did something nice or something right. She found herself being more down on him instead of praising him. So, she makes a point to tell others the good things about their children. I really need that!
