First Day of Summer Vacation

Michael graduated from Kindergarten yesterday. It was such a cute ceremony. I cried, which was silly actually. But, the teachers made me! The really made it a big deal about them moving on. Michael did great! He is such a good singer, even though he hates doing motions to the songs.

So, today marks our fist day of summer vacation. We slept in (now 7:00 is sleeping in to us, CRAZY!) We went shopping for some groceries. And now we're packing to head up to the UP later this afternoon when Jamie gets home from work. I'm hoping he'll surprise us around 3:00 but it could be around 5:00 before he actually is home and ready to go.

It's about a 5.5 hour drive so we'll probably arrive later tonight. But, we don't care. It's fun being in the car together and the kids are usually really cute late at night. Especially when we arrive there. They're so excited and like running from room to room to check things out.

I'm tired of taking the pack and play for Maggie so I think we'll put her in a bed up there. It will be her first time sleeping in a bed. Michael was so adaptable at that age. He slept anywhere and everywhere we put him. We just haven't run into the same oppertunities with Maggie. It's probably crazy of me to have this weekend be her first time. We'll see how it goes.

Anyway, we'll only be gone through Saturday. Since Jamie works for a church we don't miss a Sunday very often. It'll be a quick trip, but a great way to kick off the summer!
